We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the upcoming season of Elevate Volleyball and Flag Football for 5th grade students.

These programs are designed to promote athletic skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a supportive and structured environment. Open to all current 5th grade students. Register with the Boys and Girls Club of McAllen at www.bgcmcallen.net or in person at 2620 Galveston Ave, McAllen.

Congratulations to Mrs. Torres' 2024–2025 3rd Grade Class for earning the most AR points in the entire school! Through dedication and a love for reading, they achieved an impressive total of 2,357 points. As a result of their outstanding accomplishment, their class received a plaque on the AR trophy displayed in the library. A special shout-out to Mrs. Torres for fostering a strong reading culture in her classroom and exemplifying what it means to inspire lifelong readers and learners.

Congratulations to our 38 students who earned 100 points in Accelerated Reader, and to the 4 who surpassed 200 points! We're incredibly proud of their dedication and determination to take on the challenge. Keep up the fantastic work, challengers!

With last nights huge 7-5 playoff victory, the Alvarez and McAuliffe Elementary softball team punched their ticket to the championship game! Join us in cheering on our team on tomorrow evening at the Nikki Rowe Softball field at 6:30pm!

🎉 Congratulations to our amazing McAuliffe students Iker, Sebastian, and Jose, for completing the McAllen Parks & Recreation Run4Success 5K! 🏃‍♂️💨 A special shoutout to Iker, who not only completed the race but took first place for the third year in a row! 🏆 Your hard work, dedication, and spirit continue to inspire all of us. Winning once is impressive, but winning three times shows true heart and determination. We are so proud of our McAuliffe athletes!

A huge round of applause to our amazing fourth grade student, Sarah Gaytan, who has officially reached the incredible milestone of ONE MILLION words read! Sarah, your dedication, determination, and love for reading light up our school community. You’re a true reading superstar, keep turning those pages, chasing new adventures in books, and shining bright!

Good Evening Parents, We will have STAAR testing during the next few days. 5th Grade Science will be tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23, 2025. 3rd and 4th Math will be on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Please ensure your student has a good night's rest.

🥎 Congratulations to our 5th grade elevate softball team on their 13 to 5 win last night! Under high pressure, our team showed true grit and determination—never flinching, always battling. Special shout out to our All Star pitcher from Alvarez Elementary, Adelina, who's brilliant pitching helped launch the team to victory . When our vertical team schools team up, together we are unstoppable! Great job girls! 💪
