McAllen ISD is aware of a message on social media that makes a threat toward McAllen High & Travis Middle School. Although McAllen ISD police consider this message to be non-credible, all threats are taken seriously. We will take all steps necessary to ensure the safety of students & staff at all our schools. Our police are working with other law enforcement agencies to ensure everyone’s safety. In addition, officers are stationed each day at every campus. We will continue to post updates as needed. Please take a moment to speak with your child about the importance of reporting something suspicious to a responsible adult. Parents can also check their child’s backpack for anything inappropriate. ALERT: Here is an update on the threats circulating on social media. There is no threat to any McAllen ISD school. Out of an abundance of caution, McAllen ISD has extra patrols in the area & local law enforcement agencies are aware. Donna ISD made an arrest in this case last week but, students have recirculated the content in order to spread awareness. Again, there is no threat to any McAllen ISD school. An arrest has been made in another school district but McAllen ISD is continuing to monitor the situation. All threats are taken seriously. We will post updates as warranted. Teacher Appreciation Week continues! Yesterday we were surprised with a delicious breakfast from one of our wonderful parents and former teachers, Mrs. Vallejo! For lunch, teachers were treated to Jason's Deli courtesy of Briarcliff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center!
Congratulations to our fundraiser's top sellers! Our students were treated with a limo ride to Helium Trampoline Park! They got to eat pizza, bounce around and have tons of fun! Thank you for supporting our fundraiser!
Its Teacher Appreciation Week! Yesterday the festivities were kicked off with a wonderful breakfast donated by Santa Fe Bakery & Mercado and Delia's Tamales!
